Winslow homes for sale

Winslow is downtown area of Bainbridge Island. The Winslow community is the most pedestrian-friendly area on the island—you can bike, stroll, run, or walk to the ferry terminal. The convenience of Winslow make owning Winslow real estate very attractive. Both Ordway Elementary and Bainbridge High School are within 10 minutes from Winslow. Also nearby are parks, trails, and playgrounds.Winslow is full of cafés, museums, services, shops, and restaurants. It's the hub for community street parties, parades, and other civic activities. 

Homes for sale in Winslow may be waterfront, condos or townhomes. Most Winslow condos are under three bedrooms, and have water views or are on the waterfront. Some townhouse condos in Winslow have three bedrooms, fenced yards, or are near the marina. If you aren't interested in a condo, there are multiple close-in communities from which to choose. Single-family homes and waterfront properties for sale in Winslow are not as common, but they exist.

Winslow is about ten city blocks and is punctuated with local businesses, including a non-chain local bookstore, art galleries, gift stores, specialty clothing stores, a travel store, and a playful toy store called Calico Toy Shoppe. There are many restaurants such as Proper Fish, award-winning Hitchcock, with its locally sourced dishes, Hitchcock Deli, Pizzeria Bruciato, Mora Iced Creamery, Pegasus Coffee House in a historic brick building covered in ivy, and Blackbird Bakery with an array of scrumptious treats from which to “chews.”

The Bainbridge Island ferry terminal offers sailings to Seattle that are 35 minutes long and runs every 55 minutes.
